Hello,

I hope this message finds you all well.

I'm reaching out because I've encountered a problem while trying to import a database into OpenLCA, and I could really use some guidance.

Here's a breakdown of what I've done so far:

  1. Installed Database Analyzer and Launcher.
  2. Exported the EF3.1 database in zolca format.
  3. Attempted to create a new database in OpenLCA using this file.

However, the import process has been running for over 4 hours now, and it still hasn't completed. I'm not sure if this is normal behavior or if there's something else I should try.

Could someone please advise me on whether such a lengthy import process is typical in OpenLCA? Also, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions for alternative methods to import the database efficiently.

Thank you all for your time and assistance.

The EF database is really huge (also because of the images), you should "restore" the database in openLCA, do not make a new one and do not try to import it into this new one. Restoring is quite fast, depending on your harddisc (a few minutes max). Hth
